Hello, lovelies!
It’s been a long week of stonks going up in all kinds of areas, but have you considered investing in smut? It’s guaranteed to go up! And down, and up, and down…
But if you’re a hedge fund manager, I hope you’re in for a good spanking. 😘
In any case, if you’re looking for news about the adult gaming community, you’ve come to the right place! I post a newsletter every week detailing the latest and greatest. If you would like to be notified before everybody else, why not consider subscribing?

Working fewer hours and getting more done
I wrote an incredibly popular article on my blog about how I managed my schedule during the six weeks I was between jobs:
I’ve always been curious about whether an 8-hour workday was actually optimal for me. Now that I had no boss to report to and no coworkers to keep in the loop, why not try cutting my work hours in half?
The reactions to my article on Reddit’s /r/gamedev forum have been absolutely amazing. So many people had their own stories to share about how they could be more productive by working fewer hours!
What I learned from the community is that I was actually employing a concept called Deep Work. I got in touch with the creator of Winston, which is an online platform for improving your own Deep Work habits. He kindly offered to sponsor both this newsletter and my article, so you can use the code “MRHANDS” at checkout to save 20% on a subscription! 😍
CrisisBeat’s Princess Quest
I was scrolling through my timeline when I saw this amazing artwork from CrisisBeat and knew I had to check it out! They are an incredible 3D artist who now have a demo out for their new lewd game Princess Quest.
Featuring five princesses (that might look vaguely familiar), this visual novel has you exploring a cave with a team of princesses in order to find a hidden treasure. 👑

How Belle Delphine 10x’d her revenue
Belle Delphine is a controversial figure, but there’s no denying that she’s got a knack for marketing herself. F*ckonomics has a great video out now where they dive into how Belle tapped into the attention economy in order to make a name for herself. By applying the core principles of hype, artificial scarcity, and novelty, she managed to turn her loyal fanbase into a tidy profit.
Check it out if you’re at all interested in the workings of the attention economy!
Twitter is being sued to get rid of the porn
The Daily Dot reports that Twitter is being sued by NCOSE, an anti-porn organization, for supposedly benefiting “from a sex trafficking venture”. If NCOSE wins the suit, Twitter will be forced to purge adult content from its platform.
This is extremely bad news for sex workers, who often rely on the platform as one of their best ways to find new clients and keep them engaged. But it’s also bad news for lovers of pornography: it will mean only “safe” content will be viable on Twitter, meaning a lot of niche creators will have to move elsewhere.
XBIZ reports that the crackdown on adult content has already begun, with Twitter suspensions for two prominent adult platforms.
Naomi Wu (@RealSexyCyborg) makes the excellent point that protecting sex workers on our online platforms helps to “innoculate the platform against the intolerant”. Sex workers are unfortunately very often canaries in the coal mine and the first to face the ire of reactionary movements. By making sure sex works are safe on our platforms, we can also help prevent reactionary movements from gaining traction.
Writing Wrap-Up 📖
LewdPixels has published an excellent article on how best to market your adult game:
This article is going to cover where you should consider marketing, and some tips on how to do so effectively. It will touch on some things that you are undoubtedly aware of, but may not be thinking about.
Steel Hearts has another awesome Combat Report out where they dive into their fourth and final heroine:
Brynhilde originally looked quite princess-like, with drills in the front and a ponytail in the back, along with a ribbon. After quite some time, however, we overhauled her design, giving her bangs that slightly exposed the forehead and a braid that drapes over her shoulder.
LoveSick Darlings has put an excellent development update and explain why they’re not always happy about the progress they’ve made:
I am so invested in this story and these characters, that I can't help but fully explore them and create more content to be played. Which is great creatively and content-wise, but on a practical level... it's pretty reckless of me.
Complex Relations is writing about the character design on their game:
I wanted Complex Relations to have a strongly character-focused approach to design. What does that actually mean? You could think of it as an alternative to style-focused design.
Black Heaven is launching a Kickstarter for their necromantic dating sim this April:
When I started work on Black Heaven, a game about romancing ghosts in the aftermath of an apocalyptic plague, I didn’t expect a real-life pandemic to spread across the world. Now, the themes of isolation, loneliness, nostalgia, and longing for human connection have become a lot of people’s day-to-day experience. It’s pretty surreal.
The Mrs pointed me to this lovely list of books about sex work by sex workers:
Having discussions about the realities of sex work is extremely important in order to destigmatize it. If you are interested in feminism and sexuality, or you participate in the world of the sex industry, I can recommend any of these books. The best way to begin the conversation around sex work is to listen to the workers speak.
Finally, the Observer makes the excellent point that protecting sex workers on our online platforms is vital for creative freedom as a whole:
Human beings have sex, discuss sex, crave visual representations of sex and sometimes perform sexual acts professionally. Just as crucially, people produce and digest works of art in order to survive.

P.S. I think “smut portfolio” sounds a lot classier than “spank bank”, wouldn’t you agree?
